Coffee, Cards & Chat

Hello stampers,

Last Friday we met for our monthly Coffee, Cards and Chat class. We had great fun, a lot of laughs and even managed to create some cards in the process!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the use of hearts featured quite heavily and why not with so many cute heart images and shapes to choose from and here is what we made:

A Thank You Card

which was inspired by a card that I watched being showcased at the recent Orlando Leadership Conference.

The Whisper White card base is embossed with the new Happy Hearts Embossing Folder and some Coastal Cabana Thick Bakers Twine tied around it. The greeting from the Lotus Blossom stamp set is punched out with 1" Circle Punch and layered on to a 1 1/4" Circle Punch out.

The little hearts are punched out with the Itty Bitty Heart Punch in Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana and Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper al well as two stamped heart images using the Say Something stamp.
The inside of the card is decorated with a strip of Best Year Ever DSP, too.

A Valentine's Card

in the traditional colours of Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.
Again embossed using the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder. The hearts are from the Groovy Love stamp set that coordinates with the Sweetheart Punch. The sentiment is from the Good Greetings set (retired), stamped in Tuxedo Black Momento Ink.

The inside of the card is prettied up with a strip of Stacked with Love DSP and another cute little heart!

Sending Wishes Your Way

I love the colour combo of Old Olive and Whisper White with a dash of Blushing Bride. Using the Basics Butterfly stamp set, the fern image is stamped in Old Olive on to the base card of the same colour, all other images are stamped in Soft Suede.
The flower is coloured in using Blendabilities in Old Olive and Blush from the Skin Tone Assortment, cut out with the Ovals Framelits and the sentiment punched out with the Extra Large Oval Punch.
A pretty card, yet so easy to make!

Until next time.
