Say Happy Mother's Day with Sweet Soiree

This Sunday is Mother's Day here in the UK and I have a few quick & easy card ideas to show you using the Sweet Soiree Speciality Paper and Embellishment Kit.

Sometimes when you need to make a card fast having some pretty, pre-printed, die cut pieces and embellishments ready to go can come in very handy!  The Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit is perfect for just such a situation.

The kit includes shiny accents and embellishments that can be added to your projects.
Kit includes:
* 2 sheets vellum/silver foil die-cuts
* 2 sheets printed cardstock/silver foil die-cuts
* 1 sheet white cardstock/silver foil die-cut numbers
* 6 1" (2.5 cm) mini paper/silver foil tassels with jump rings, 2 each of 3 colours (Flirty Flamingo, Marina Mist, white)
* white/silver foil 1/8" (3.2 mm) washi tape, 1 yard
* 12 1" (2.5 cm) white mini clothespins; Marina Mist
* 3/8" (1 cm) Scalloped Velvet Ribbon,
* 1 yard

The Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit makes it easy to create a gorgeous card with minimum of effort!

I love the colour combination of Powder Pink, Marina Mist and Whisper White, and adding the little tassel with a piece of ribbon gives it that extra dimension.
 The sentiment is from the You're Inspiring stamp set which I stamped in Marina Mist and added a strip of pink rhinestones underneath.

I coordinated all the cards around a piece of Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Paper.

The use of silver foil adds a textured look to these handpainted designs. All papers have silver foil accents on one side and colourful printed images on the other.

* 12 sheets: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs * 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm)
* Acid free
* Lignin free

Coordinating Colours: Berry Burst, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Powder Pink, Rich Razzleberry, Silver Foil, Whisper White

For these cards I paired the pretty paper with the Large Letter Framelits to die cut the word Mum.

I added some little, punched out flowers (retired SU punch) with some Basic Rhinestone Jewels in the centre.

For the next cards, I used one of the floral die cuts from the kit to decorate the front of the card.

I used the sentiment from the You're Inspiring stamp set again in Marina Mist to coordinate it this time with Old Olive, Berry Burst, Powder Pink and Whisper White.

In case you're wondering how to make the little treat holders,  I followed these instructions by Gosia MacKinnon using the Detailed Floral Thinlits.

I hope you like today's projects!?
